How Skyscribe works
A weather generator built for game masters: realistic weather that carries over from day to day, described for your players and explained for you.
1Choose where the party is
Pick one of twelve lands and a season or a date, out in the wilds or in a village or city. Name the place if you like.
2Read the day to your players
Each day has a scene of the land and a description written for that land, season and sky. Switch to the narrative view for a version made for reading aloud.
3See what it means at the table
Travel pace, visibility, heat and cold, a night in camp, ranged attacks. When the weather turns dangerous, Skyscribe shows the hazard risks and lets you roll.
4Move on, and keep the story
Travel several days at once and the weather follows the party into new country. Every stay goes into the journey log.
Weather that acts like weather
Skyscribe's weather comes from real climate data, so each place and season feels like itself.
Day follows day
Temperatures rise and fall with the seasons and the hour, and rain arrives in spells that linger instead of at random.
Fronts and big events
Fronts bring a change in the wind. Heat waves, cold snaps, blizzards, monsoon bursts, dust storms and great storms from the sea build up and play out over days.
Your kind of place
Set a place high in the hills or far from the sea, near the equator or the poles, and the weather follows.
